Readout of the President of the General Assembly’s meeting with the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, H.E. Mr. To Lam
The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philemon Yang met with the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, H.E. Mr. To Lam, on September 24, 2024.
The President of the General Assembly and the President of Viet Nam discussed the importance of multilateralism, works of the UN, international law including the Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and the role of regional organizations. They further exchanged views on the pressing need to address climate change and implementation of the SDGs.
