Third dialogue on Implementation of Pact of the Future to lay groundwork for 2028 review 

The President of the UN General Assembly H.E. Mr. Philemon Yang will convene the third and final informal interactive dialogue to support Member States in advancing the implementation of the Pact for the Future on Thursday, 17 July 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber. The theme for this interactive dialogue will be ”Looking ahead to 2028″.  

The Pact for the Future mandates a high-level review of the overall progress made in implementing the Pact in 2028. While implementation efforts of the Pact for the Future are underway, it is essential to lay the groundwork for the review and actions needed for its success.  As such, this dialogue aims to provide a platform for Member States to deliberate on the design and preparation of the 2028 review of the Pact.

Multilingualism in Action and the Pact for the Future  

The President of the UN General Assembly will host a meeting on Thursday, 17 July 2025 at 3:30 p.m. to thank Member States and other institutions that have contributed to translating the Pact for the Future into non-UN official languages.

This event, held under the theme “Multilingualism in Action,” will celebrate the remarkable cooperation that has made the Pact accessible in 33 languages, reaching over 3.5 billion people in their native tongues, thereby enhancing local awareness and implementation.
