First dialogue on implementation of the Pact for the Future to focus on Means of Implementation

 

What: The President of the General Assembly Philemon Yang is convening the first of a series of informal interactive dialogues on Wednesday, 26 March 2025 to support Member States in advancing the implementation of the Pact for the Future.

The dialogue will focus on the means necessary for its implementation such as technology development and transfer, capacity-building, financial resources, globalization and trade, which are central to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goalsand the actions contained in the Pact. 

These dialogues will provide Member States with an opportunity to exchange views, share best practices and align efforts in implementing the Pact for the Future.

The adoption of the Pact in September 2024 marked a significant step towards the realization of a renewed multilateral system. Its success will depend on the collective efforts of all relevant stakeholders to shift from the agreement made on paper to concrete and measurable action.
