The President of the General Assembly H.E. Philemon Yang met with Ambassador Pascale Baeriswyl, Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations, on September 30, 2024.
The President of the General Assembly and the Ambassador discussed Switzerland’s upcoming Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which begins on October 01 and is statistically the busiest month of the UN Security Council’s agenda due to the number of mandated meetings. The meeting demonstrates the importance of cooperation and coordination between the General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council.
