Denise is a communication adviser in the Office of the President of the 74th Session of the General Assembly. Denise also served in the Office of the President of the 73rd Session as an adviser in communication, innovation and partnerships and she provided support to the Sustainable Development Team on the 72nd Session, on issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, and financing for development.

Before joining the Office, Denise worked for the Executive Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) Communication and Information Sector in Paris, covering issues related to freedom of expression, the safety of journalist, media development and building knowledge societies through Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Before joining the United Nations, Denise worked for several NGOs and the private sector in Canada and Mexico.

A Colombian national, Denise holds a bachelors degree in Political Science, Communication Studies and Art History from McGill University and a masters degree of International Public Management from Sciences Po, Paris.

Denise speaks Spanish, English and French.
