The President of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande today met the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, H.E. Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The Foreign Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued to support to the priorities earmarked for the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly. He mentioned that poverty eradication, inclusive quality education and climate change were shared priorities as they also featured high in Government of Pakistan’s national development agenda. They agreed that progress in these areas was key to achieving the 2030 agenda.
The Foreign Minister appreciated President Tijjani’s vision on agriculture development and on leveraging it to achieve Zero Hunger.
The President of the General Assembly thanked the Foreign Minister and stated that he would continue to count on Pakistan’s support for making the 74th Session a success.
