The President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, H. E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, held a meeting with the UNITAR Executive Director and Assistant Secretary-General, Nikhil Seth. ASG Nikhil Seth reiterated UNITAR’s role in supporting Member States as well as UN staff in training and research on various fields such as decentralized communications and satellite operations. He pledged to offer training to staff in the President’s Office in any areas within the organization’s competence. President Muhammad-Bande acknowledged the importance of training in any organization and assured that given his priority on education, he would find ways of deepening collaboration with UNITAR.
