The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with Mr. Li Yong, Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). They discussed issues related to inclusive industrial development for developing countries, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, and migration.
The Director-General thanked the President of the General Assembly for his strong support for the development of Africa and invited him to participate in UNIDO’s General Conference in November. The President of the General Assembly congratulated the Director-General for UNIDO’s achievements on the ground and agreed to strengthen cooperation between UNIDO and his office.
