The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi, Ms. Sahle-Work Zewde. They discussed the President’s priorities for the 72nd session, United Nations reform, the work of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and UN Environment (UNEP), and the role of United Nations offices away from Headquarters. The President of the General Assembly welcomed the Director-General’s proposal for cooperation. He also said that he intended to participate in the United Nations Environment Assembly session in Nairobi in December.
