The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with H.E. Hon. Mr. Pravind Kumar Jughauth, Prime Minister of Mauritius. They discussed challenges faced by Small Island Developing States, migration, climate change, and terrorism.
The President of the General Assembly stressed that the international community must remain committed to the Paris Agreement to protect the planet from over hitting. He also underlined that the UN is in a unique position to provide global leadership required for the implementation of the SDG, and to foster global common vision on migration.
