Media briefing about UN Oceans conference in June 2017
COP 22, Marrakech, 14 November 2016 — The President of the United Nations General Assembly, the Prime Minister of Fiji, the Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden and UN Under Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs will convene a joint press conference at COP 22 on Tuesday 15 November 2016, from 6:00pm to 6:30pm, to brief the media on the upcoming United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development taking place at the UN in New York from 5-9 June 2017.
Remarks will be delivered by the President of the UN General Assembly, the two Co-Presidents, as well as the Secretary-General of the conference followed by Q&A.
