Press Conference by the President of the United Nations General Assembly on selection and appointment process and civil society engagement with candidates presented for the next UN Secretary-General
UNITED NATIONS, 25 February 2016 – The President of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Mogens Lykketoft, will hold a press briefing at 1pm EST on Friday to update the media on the selection and appointment process and announce an unprecedented process for civil society stakeholders to question candidates for the position of the next Secretary-General. The first informal dialogues with SG-candidates will be held 12-14 April 2016.
