On Friday, the President of the General Assembly welcomed the new Permanent Representative of Mexico, Ambassador Juan José Gómez Camacho, to New York. The two discussed Mexico as a responsible global actor and its support in processes of the General Assembly such as migration, refugees, SDGs and the forthcoming UNGASS in April 2016. The Ambassador reaffirmed the commitment of Mexico to the United Nations and its active role in the General Assembly.
