The President of the UN General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of United Arab Emirates, His Royal Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, 17 January.
During the meeting the two men discussed the situation in the region especially the war in Syria. They also discussed the lifting of sanctions against Iran and the situation in Yemen. The President has been invited to UAE to participate in the Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi. The President also mentioned the High Level meeting that will be held in New York on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
