Global Compact: Caring for Climate Business Forum

The President of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Mogens Lykketoft on Tuesday addressed the “Caring for Climate Business Forum” arranged by the UN Global Compact. COP 21 has seen the business and financial sectors fully participating and engaging in the fight against Climate Change.
The President said that he is very encouraged by the many great examples he has been exposed to in Paris which demonstrate the potential and necessity of collective action by businesses alone or in cooperation with governments and other actors.
On 11 and 12 April 2016 the UN GA President will host a major High Level event to kickstart implementation of both the SDGs and the Climate agreement that hopefully is agreed in Paris this week.
