United Nations Radio Correspondent Veronica Reeves reports on Tuesday’s annual debate on the Security Council‘s working methods. Speakers called for greater transparency and effectiveness of the Council to address today’s global challenges. UN General Assembly President, Mr. Lykketoft also stressed the need for more cooperation between General Assembly and Security Council, particularly in a year when a new Secretary-General will be selected.
