The President of the  70th session of the UN General Assembly met His Holiness Pope Francis today. Pope Francis delivered a wide-ranging address before world leaders gathered at the United Nations General Assembly today, urging global action to protect the environment and end the suffering of “vast ranks of the excluded,” saying that “human beings take precedence over partisan interests.”

Both, the Pope and Mr. Mogens Lykketoft agreed that urgency and unity is required to implement the 2030 Agenda and put an end to global conflicts.
