H.E. President Mogens Lykketoft attended the 35th United Nations Sunday at Saint John the Divine Cathedral in New York. He had the honour to address the congregation of one of New York’s most iconic places of worship. In his address, the President stressed the need for global goals and a lifestyle that is sustainable for both people and planet. He not only praised his Holiness Pope Francis for his engagement on climate change and equality, but also urgently called on everyone to place peace, justice, dignity, solidarity, cooperation and tolerance at the heart of every action to transform the world for the better.
