The President had an informal meeting with the Ambassador of India to the United Nations, Mr. Asoke Kumar Mukerji. They both agreed that the General Assembly and the 193 member states should focus on the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals once they are formally adopted at the Summit next week. The President underlined that it’s a priority for his presidency to forge progress on the means of implementation of the 2030 Goals and supportive multi-stakeholder engagement.
