Accelerating Africa's Industrialization: High-Level Mobilization for IDDA IV

Summary

Africa is at a turning point. With the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the digital and green transitions, and a rapidly growing population, the continent faces both immense challenges and unprecedented opportunities.

Building on the achievements and lessons of the Third Industrial Development Decade for Africa (IDDA III), the upcoming IDDA IV offers a unique chance to accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrialization at scale.

This high-level event, held on the margins of the 80th UN General Assembly (UNGA 80), will bring together African governments, development partners, the private sector, and innovators to mobilize political will, partnerships, and resources for Africa’s industrial transformation.
