South-South Co-operation at LDC5
LDC5 is a key opportunity for LDCs to mobilize international support - including from other Southern partners - as they seek a greener, sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The South-South Cooperation track of LDC5 will review the role of South-South cooperation in implementing the previous Programme of Action and provide a platform to renew partnership for the next one.
LDCs and other Member States will gather with UN agencies, academia, the private sector, NGOs, international financial institutions and other stakeholders to identify new areas of the new Programme of Action that will most benefit from enhanced cooperation - and how to deliver it.
The work will culminate in a high-level ministerial meeting in during LDC5. The ministerial conference will be co-organized by UN-OHRLLS, the UN Office for South-South Cooperation, United Nations Capital Development Fund and the Government of Qatar.
