Principal Security Adviser for South Sudan

Mr. Emmanuel Monjimbo is the Principal Security Adviser for South Sudan. He has over 35 years of senior management experience in security, including command experience with the Cameroon Police as a Police Superintendent. Since July 2004, he has served the United Nations in various capacities in seven countries, providing security leadership for the United Nations in complex security situations, including in Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Chad, Nigeria, Somalia as Acting Principal Security Adviser, and Haiti as Chief Security Adviser. Mr. Monjimbo holds a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon, and an advanced university degree from the Senior Service Police Academy in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Mr. Emmanuel Monjimbo is a U.S. citizen.
