Opening of the session by the Chair of the Committee.
Adoption of the agenda and programme of work - The provisional agenda has been prepared on the basis of consultations among the members of the Bureau of the Committee.
Admission of new members - The Committee considered requests for membership in the Committee.
Statement by the Chair - The Chair addressed the Committee at its opening meeting.
Statement by the Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications - The Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications addressed the Committee at its opening meeting to provide an update on the activities of the Department of Global Communications and to report on the implementation of the recommendations contained in General Assembly resolutions 80/84 A and B.
Informal interactive meeting of the Committee - An informal interactive meeting of the Committee has been held immediately after the statements by the Chair and the Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications, allowing members of the Committee to exchange ideas with, and pose questions to, the senior management of the Department of Global Communications.
