Informal Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing

CONCEPT NOTE

Pursuant to resolution General Assembly resolution 79/286, the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene an informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing as part of the preparatory process for the high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, on 30 June 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. 

Representatives from relevant non-governmental organizations (including NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC), civil society organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector are invited to register for the Informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing. 

Interested organizations may register HERE. The deadline for registration is 4 June 2025. 

 


High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons

24-25 November 2025

Pursuant to resolution A/RES/79/286, the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene a High-level Meeting of the General Assembly on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons on 24-25 November 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

 

Special Accreditation: 1 - 20 July 2025

Relevant non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector that do not have consultative status with ECOSOC must express interest and apply for special accreditation to participate in the conference. 

Interested organizations may apply for Special Accreditation here. The deadline for Special Accreditation applications is 20 July 2025.

Kindly Note

  • This ad-hoc special accreditation applies at the organizational level, requiring only one application per entity. Individuals may not apply for special accreditation.
  • Projects fiscally sponsored by parent entities may not apply for accreditation. The fiscal sponsor must apply with proof of its legal status. Only entities with their own legal status may apply for special accreditation.
  • Organizations approved for participation will be notified and will receive additional instructions regarding the registration process for their representatives.
  • Organizations with consultative status with ECOSOC do not need to apply for this ad-hoc special accreditation. A separate registration portal for conference registration will be available closer to the event date.
