Hijauku.com was founded in 2011 with the main goal of advocating for a green economy and sustainable development. The purpose of this initiative is to write and share climate solutions and inspiring actions through this website. Their network has continuously been growing up until now. Hijauku has become one of the biggest green advocacy networks in Indonesia followed by more than 235,000 individuals and organizations from all over the world.
In 2012 that Kelas Perubahan Iklim (KPI) started as an independent climate change class for communities . It has been attended by more 1100 people, especially youth in Indonesia. They have worked to bring awareness to the dangerous effects of the climate crisis and present solutions to help solve this.
Last year their organization continued building connections by joining the Climate Reality Global Training to further extend the green advocacy network. After the training, the organization was invited to present in "24 Hours of Reality”. Other global presenters included Former US Vice President Al Gore.
The free Kelas Perubahan Iklim or climate change course has been attended by more than 1100 people especially young generations in Indonesia. Their communication networks have more than 235,000 followers from all over the world.
Hijauku.com is independent media organization, a startup company that is financed by its founder. They need more supports to develop an independent climate change course that could truly inspire and create changes in communities.
