Ambassador Hilario G. Davide, Jr. is the Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations. A former Chief Justice of the Philippine Supreme Court, he was an educator, legislator and presidential adviser before his appointment as his country's top diplomat to the UN. Mr. Davide is a recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award, the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Prize, for his accomplishments in government service.
