Workshop on the use of national transfer accounts to address population and development challenges

Overview

An online workshop with 55 participants from 34 countries was held in conjunction with the 13th Annual Global Conference on Population and the Generational Economy. The discussion focused on key population and development issues that could be uniquely addressed using national transfer accounts (NTA) estimates and methods.  Follow-up workshops will be held on preparation of national “Reports on the Generational Economy” to examine the economic and fiscal implications of population change using data from national transfer accounts.
