Fifth coordination meeting on international migration

Overview     

The Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations is organizing the Fifth Coordination Meeting on International Migration in response to General Assembly Resolution 58/208 of 13 February 2004 on International Migration and Development, which requests the Secretary-General to continue convening meetings to coordinate activities regarding international migration

The Meeting has two main objectives: (a) to discuss the implications of the High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development, which was conducted by the General Assembly on 14 and 15 September 2006; and (b) to exchange information on activities in the area of international migration and development of participating organizations.
