The Secretary-General met today in Amman, Jordan, with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The Secretary-General commended Turkey for hosting Syrian refugees and took note of its recent framework agreement with the European Union in this regard.
The Secretary-General thanked Turkey for hosting the upcoming World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul on 23-24 May and discussed preparations for this high-level event.
The two leaders also discussed the situation in Syria in the context of the ongoing talks in Geneva.
