In a meeting today with President Danilo Medina of the Dominican Republic, ahead of the Seventh Summit of the Americas, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the President’s exemplary leadership on issues such as education and South-South cooperation.

The Secretary-General also welcomed the dialogue between the Dominican Republic and Haiti. They discussed citizenship and migration issues and the protection of human rights.
