Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

The Secretary-General met today with Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cuba.

They discussed a number of important topics including Cuba’s chairmanship of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Post-2015 development agenda and the impact of climate change on the Caribbean region and beyond.

The Secretary-General also commended Cuba for its constructive role as host of the peace talks between Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
