Readout of Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Sebastian Piñera Echeñique, President of the Republic of Chile

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Sebastian Piñera Echeñique, President of the Republic of Chile. The Secretary-General thanked President Piñera for Chile’s continued contributions to UN priorities. Chile’s active role in the General Assembly debate on global economic governance as well as in South-South cooperation was highlighted. The Secretary-General appreciated Chile’s support to Haiti and the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).
