Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with the Turkish Prime Minister

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Turkey.  The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister discussed the latest developments in Syria and the international community’s response.  The Secretary-General briefed the Prime Minister on the UN chemical weapons investigation.

On Cyprus, the Secretary-General welcomed Turkey’s continued commitment to achieving a mutually acceptable and lasting solution and encouraged it to continue to play a positive role in support of this process.
