The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Manuel Domingos Vicente, the Vice-President of the Republic of Angola, in Addis Ababa today.

They discussed the situation in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and progress towards implementation of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework Agreement, led by Special Envoy Mary Robinson.

The Secretary-General and the Vice-President exchanged views on the situation in the Central African Republic and in Guinea-Bissau.
