The Secretary-General will travel to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, 13 February, where he will meet with senior US officials and visit the Organization of American States (OAS).

On Wednesday, the Secretary-General will meet with the Permanent Council of the OAS and with OAS Secretary-General José Miguel Insulza.

Later, he will have separate meetings with members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee and House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The Secretary-General will meet with new US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday, before returning to New York later in the day.
