Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

The Secretary-General met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on the margins of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. During their meeting, they discussed a range of issues including regional relations, and nuclear negotiations. They also exchanged views on the situation in Syria.
