Personal Assistant to the President
Bettina Pedersen is the Personal Assistant to the President of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. She joined OPGA from the Danish Parliament where she served as Mr Lykketoft’s personal assistant for three years when he was Speaker of the Danish Parliament.
Bettina began her career at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991. She served as Administrative Attaché in the Royal Danish Embassy in Moscow from 1994-1996 before returning to Denmark to become Personal Assistant to the Minister for Development and then Personal Assistant to the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mr. Poul Nyrup Rasmussen.
On a previous assignment to New York from 2006-2010, Bettina served as Consul and Head of Administration at the Consulate General.
During her time with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bettina has worked in a variety of administrative positions and served as a Team Leader for more than six years.
