As UN humanitarian workers, one of our most important jobs is to listen. This photo was taken in eastern Chad, on the border with the Darfur region of Sudan. The area has been wracked by conflict, and child malnutrition rates are high. A UN convoy led by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs made the journey to visit a community that had welcomed displaced people back home.
