In celebration of the 2nd International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP), the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) is organizing a Video Contest aimed at showcasing the works of organizations around the world that are committed to uplifting their communities through sport.

We are inviting all organizations that run a programme or project which actively uses sport as a tool for social change to share their activities and delivered impacts via a short video clip of up to 3 minutes.

Participating organizations may use mobile devices, video recorders, or any other camera devices to create a digital storytelling narrative, documenting their experiences on how they have improved their communities by means of sport. Videos should aim to describe the background and objectives of the intervention such as the challenges the community faces, and draw on direct voices from the beneficiaries.

Through the Contest, UNOSDP aims at providing an opportunity to organizations from all backgrounds to share their response to specific needs of their communities and also reflect on the learned outcomes for the benefit of the larger public. Entries should capture memorable impacts of change, further inspiring appreciation and action to use sport as a tool for development and peace for all communities worldwide.
