The Secretary-General had a cordial and substantive meeting with Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
They discussed current issues of global significance such as the European Financial Crisis and climate change.
They also exchanged views on regional issues such as the situations in Afghanistan, Syria, Sudan, Myanmar and the Korean Peninsula.
