Read-out of the Secretary-General's meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms. Catherine Ashton, on the margins of the 65th General Assembly

They discussed a range of issues, including the situation in the Middle East, Kosovo, Iran, DRC, Sudan and Somalia. The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the excellent cooperation that exists between the UN and the EU and called upon the EU to provide additional support to UN peacekeeping.
