The Secretary-General will be in Johannesburg, South Africa, to attend the 15th Summit of the BRICS, which is made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The Secretary-General has been invited to speak at the BRICS-Africa Outreach and at the BRICS Plus Dialogue meeting on the 24th. During his visit, the Secretary-General will be meeting with various leaders on the margins of the BRICS summit. He is also expected to hold a press conference which should be on Thursday, 24 August. The Secretary-General will return to New York on Friday, 25 August. |
