On Saturday evening, the Deputy Secretary-General will depart to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to attend, on behalf of the Secretary-General, the preparatory meeting of the Twenty-Seventh Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (PRECOP27) on 3 and 4 October 2022. 
 
She will stop briefly in Nairobi, Republic of Kenya, on 5 October enroute to the Republic of South Africa.  She will have meetings with senior government officials.
 
On 6 October, the Deputy Secretary-General will fly to Cape Town, Republic of South Africa, to address the Twelfth Annual Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture.
