The Secretary-General met with Lt. Col. Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba, President of the Transition in Burkina Faso. They discussed the political, humanitarian and security situation in Burkina Faso and the Sahel region. The Secretary-General   underscored the importance of accelerating efforts leading to the restoration of constitutional order and democratic governance in Burkina Faso, in line with the timelines agreed upon with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Le Secrétaire général s’est entretenu avec le Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba, Président de la Transition au Burkina Faso. Ils ont discuté de la situation politique, humanitaire et sécuritaire au Burkina Faso et dans la région du Sahel. Le Secrétaire général a souligné l’importance d’ accélérer les efforts visant à restaurer l'ordre constitutionnel et la gouvernance démocratique au Burkina Faso, conformément au calendrier convenu avec la Communauté économique des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (CEDEAO).
