The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen.
 
The Secretary-General commended the constructive engagement of the Government of Yemen in negotiating and implementing the UN-brokered nationwide truce. The Secretary-General called for parties to build on this opportunity to resume an inclusive and comprehensive political process to end the conflict.
 
They also discussed the humanitarian situation in the country, as well as the importance of addressing accountability in any peace process.
