The Secretary-General spoke by phone today with H.E. Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of Poland. He appreciated the role that Poland is playing in welcoming more than one million refugees from Ukraine.

The Secretary-General told the President that he will do everything possible to mobilize the whole of the UN system, in coordination with UNHCR, to support Poland’s generosity. He will also appeal to the international community to fund the humanitarian appeals.
