The Secretary-General condemns the attack against a health centre in Butembo in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo that resulted in the death of one staff member of the World Health Organization and two people wounded.
 
The Secretary-General extends his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wishes a swift recovery to the injured. 
 
He calls on the Congolese authorities to spare no effort in identifying and swiftly bringing to justice the perpetrators of this attack.
 
The Secretary-General expresses his solidarity with the people and Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and reiterates the determination of the United Nations system to continue their work in support of the Congolese authorities to bring the Ebola outbreak to an end.

Déclaration attribuable au porte-parole du Secrétaire général sur l'attaque d'un centre de santé en République démocratique du Congo
 
Le Secrétaire général condamne l’attaque contre un centre de santé à Butembo, province du Nord-Kivu, en République démocratique du Congo, au cours de laquelle un membre du personnel de l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) a été tué et deux autres personnes blessées.
 
Le Secrétaire général présente ses plus profondes condoléances à la famille de la victime et souhaite un prompt rétablissement aux blessés.
 
Il appelle les autorités congolaises à ne ménager aucun effort pour identifier et rapidement traduire en justice les auteurs de cette attaque.
 
Le Secrétaire général exprime sa solidarité avec le peuple et le Gouvernement congolais. Il réitère la détermination du système des Nations Unies à poursuivre ses activités en appui aux autorités congolaises en vue d'enrayer l'épidémie d'Ebola en République démocratique du Congo.
