Today the Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Mario Monti, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic.  
During their meeting, they discussed developments in Libya and Syria as well as the situation in Somalia and Lebanon. They also discussed the Middle East Peace Process, the forthcoming Rio+20 meeting, and the global financial crisis.
