Statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General on the attack on the police academy in Quetta, Pakistan

The Secretary-General condemns the terrorist attack on a police academy in Quetta, Pakistan, which reportedly killed at least 60 and injured more than 100 people. 

The Secretary-General extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Pakistan, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. He calls for the perpetrators of this abhorrent act of violence to be brought to justice swiftly.
