The Secretary-General met with Ms. Rebecca Nyandeng Garang de Mabior, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan. 
 
The Secretary-General welcomed the progress made in the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS), particularly the reconstitution of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA). 
 
The Secretary General expressed concern over the escalation of inter-communal violence and internal division within parties. The Secretary-General assured of the full support of the United Nations to all efforts to bring long term peace and stability to South Sudan.
